V AERNA Conference
Spanish-Portuguese Association of Natural Resource and Environmental Economics
Faro, 31 May - 2 June 2012, Algarve, Portugal

The University of Algarve hosts the V AERNA Conference and invites researchers from all domains of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics to participate. Since its first edition in 2004, this biennial conference has been a lively forum of exchange among researchers from all over the world.

Jaume Rosselló-Nadal (University of the Balearic Islands, Spain)

AERNA was founded in 2002 as a response to the increasing interest in Environmental and Natural Resources in the Iberia Peninsula. Presently it includes more than 90% of the Spanish and Portuguese scholars in this field. AERNA’s mission is to promote scientific advances in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and its policy applications.

Faro is the capital of Algarve: The Southernmost region of continental Portugal. The Algarve is by far the most important Portuguese tourism destination. Its Mediterranean weather combined with magnificent beaches, pristine landscapes and tasty gastronomy makes it unforgettable for the visitor.
